NBA ASABA BRANCH WINS THE 3RD EDITION OF THE DELTA STATE ATTORNEY- GENERAL’S FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2025
The Hon. Attorney-General and commissioner for Justice, Delta State, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole SAN, has commended the football team of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Asaba Branch, for their gallant efforts in winning the 3rd edition of the Hon. Attorney-General’s football cup competition for all NBA Branches in Delta State
The final, which was played on Wednesday at St. Patrick College football field, West End, Asaba, saw the NBA Asaba Branch defeat the NBA Warri by 3 goals to nothing.
Ohwovoriole, who presented the Attorney-General’s championship Trophy and a cash gift to the NBA Asaba Branch team, stated that the essence of the competition was to foster unity amongst the various NBA Branches in the State as well as providing an avenue for exercise and to maintain a healthy life style for lawyers in the State.
Commenting, the Chairmen of the NBA Branches of Asaba, and Warri, Azuka Paul Maduemezia Esq, and Othadua A. Okpakpor Esq, in their respective interviews to newsmen at the final match, commended the Hon. Attorney-General for the initiative of bringing lawyers together through football and acknowledging his contributions to successfully hosting the football tournament in Asaba.
The football competition which was watched by a large number of spectators and lawyers across the State, saw the participation of football teams from the NBA Branches of Asaba, Warri, Ughelli , Udu, Effurun, and Sapele respectively.
