‎The solemn session, which took place on Friday, 19 December 2025, at the Ceremonial Hall of the New High Court Complex, brought together members of the Bench and Bar from across the state to reflect on the life, service and enduring professional legacy of the late legal luminary, who passed away on 1 March 2025.

Dignitaries at the event included the Chief Judge of Delta State, Hon. Justice Theresa Diai, who was represented by Hon. Justice Godwin Briki-Okolosi; judges of the High Court; the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Omamuzo Erebe, SAN; and members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Asaba Branch.
‎In his address, Ohwovoriole described the late Adaikpoh as an exceptional legal practitioner whose intellectual depth, eloquence and unwavering ethical standards earned him wide respect within the legal profession. He noted that beyond his professional accomplishments, Adaikpoh was renowned for his humility and commitment to mentoring younger members of the Bar.

‎The Attorney-General said Adaikpoh’s tenure as Attorney-General of Delta State was marked by principled legal counsel, reform-driven leadership and strict adherence to the rule of law, which helped lay a solid foundation for the administration of justice in the state.

‎He further recalled that following the military intervention that ended civilian rule in November 1993, Adaikpoh returned to private legal practice, where he continued to make notable contributions to public affairs and the legal profession.

‎According to Ohwovoriole, the late Adaikpoh’s contributions to Delta State’s legal and political development remain significant, adding that his career exemplified leadership rooted in integrity, service and institutional development.
